The Order of Things

The Order of Things explores how people make sense of the world and our place within it. Drawing on concepts from entomology and color perception, I create narrative photographs about human interaction, belief, and the ways we assign meaning. The perception of iridescence informs my interest in how a shift in perspective can change understanding. Our experiences and cultures also shape how people see, influencing the distinctions we make and the roles we give ourselves and others.
